For example, most weddings are 9-11 photos and it makes sense when you think about it. When you include photos such as signing the register, first dance, saying I do, walking down the aisle, both sets of parents, a few poses of the bride and groom, throwing the bouquet and extended families, you end up around 11 pictures and a unique wedding gift that showcases the entire day.

All collages start at 5 photos but you can add as many as you like to suit your needs. We will make whatever you send us into an incredible family heirloom. The general rule when creating your own personalized gift is that more photos equal more history. Fewer photos cover less time and more, showcase longer periods, so it's no surprise that a 10th anniversary would generally use fewer photos than a 50th anniversary gift. Earlier anniversaries usually, but not always, have fewer family members such as grand-children or great-grand children, thereby reducing the need for many photos. Older anniversaries or birthdays usually showcase more time and family and typically use a higher number.

At 13 inches wide, these collages fit perfectly on a desk top, a cubicle wall, anywhere space might be at a little bit of a premium. Many people feel that these smaller versions look great in colour, so consider that as an option. These also make ideal second copies from your full-size artwork as they can be shrunk to this size. 5 photo collages also make the ideal starting point for an affordable gift certificate allowing the recipient to expand and customize their collage as they see fit.

Small collages are ideal for occasions such as Christmas gifts, a young child, a small family, weddings, graduations, memorials, new babies, pets, retirements, 5 year anniversaries, etc. Like the 5 photo mini, 9 photo collages also make for an affordable gift certificate. 17+ photos
Medium sized collages are ideal for anniversaries such as a 10th or a 25th were moderate amounts of time has passed. Usually grand-children haven't quite arrived yet but younger/middle aged children have, so 20-25 photos are not needed. Groupings of two children are popular as it highlights about 8 of each child. Perfect also for significant birthdays, such as a 40th, 50th, etc. Remember, additional copies are available in full-size or as a mini.

23+ photos
Large sized collages are easily the best and most popular choice for significant anniversaries such as a 40th, 50th or 60th or family histories. It seems that by the time you include both grand-parents, some of the couple celebrating through the years, grand-children, 23 or more is where you end up. It always gives a complete "story" to a families life with everyone present and accounted for, as well as plenty of history of everyone's lives. Most people include 1-2 shots of grand-children, usually in groups, as most aren't old enough to need or warrant multiple photos, unless desired.
